Handling Juice Plus Product Objections

By Wendee Mason, MBA

1. I already take vitamin supplements.
I guess you’re wondering why you would want to take Juice Plus if you’re already taking vitamins. Is that your question?

1. May I ask why you take vitamins?

Most people want to be assured they receive all the nutrients they need because they know they are not eating properly. When you take Juice Plus, you will receive the correct amount of whole food nutrition your body needs. You may continue to take vitamins, but in most likelihood they will be unnecessary. Your body utilizes concentrated whole food better than individual vitamins. Doesn’t that make sense?

2. Juice Plus is expensive.
I guess you’re wondering if Juice Plus is worth the money. Is that your question?

2. Absolutely Yes! Because J+ is in concentrated form, 4 capsules are the equivalent of many pounds of fresh raw fruits and vegetables. Imagine going to the store and purchasing many pounds of F & V for the week.

You don’t have to wash, cut, store, prepare, and throw away the rest. The cost of a week’s supply of J+ is under $10, a fraction of what 20 pounds of F& V would cost. Can you see how Juice Plus is a great value and time saver?

3. I already eat enough fruits and vegetables.
I guess you’re wondering why Juice Plus would be beneficial for you if you’re eating fruits & vegetables. Is that your question?

3. It’s great that you are conscientious about eating many F & V’s. I am too. Some days I eat more F & V’s than other days. In addition, I tend to eat the same kind of F&V every day. J+ provides a variety of F & V that I wouldn’t ordinarily get in my diet, such as kale, beets, cabbage, and papaya. J+ also provides fiber, food enzymes, and acidophilus, which I don’t always eat. J+ is my F& V "insurance" when I don’t eat enough variety. Doesn’t that make sense?

4. I need to check with my doctor.
I guess you’re wondering
if your doctor would approve of you taking fruits and vegetables in capsule form. Is that your question?

4. Does your doctor restrict you from eating F& V, or does he recommend them? If he recommends F & V in your diet, this is the simplest form in which to take them. Since J+ is a whole food and not a drug or vitamin, a prescription is not needed. Even if you are allergic to one of the F & V found in J+, most people have no allergic reaction because it is not in the same form as the whole F or V. Do you think your doctor wants you to eat fruits and vegetables?

5. I don’t believe they can get 17 fruits and vegetables in those little capsules.
I guess you’re wondering if there are really that many fruits and vegetables in those capsules, and how they got them in there.
Is that your question?

5. When the water, sugar and salt are extracted from a F or V, all that is left is a concentrated powder. This process is scientifically controlled in a sterile environment. Individual F & V powders are then processed and mixed in a certain ratio with the other F & V powders and placed in a gelatin. Let’s open up a capsule. You can actually taste and smell all the ingredients. Can you smell the broccoli? Can you taste the cherries? What do you think?

6. How do I know what kinds of vitamins are in these capsules if they don’t list them on the label?
I guess you’re wondering why the vitamin content isn’t written on the label.
Is that your question?

6. The reason they don’t list the vitamins on the label is that there aren’t isolated vitamins in the capsule. J+ is not a vitamin. It is a whole food. It is the same when you go to the grocery store, and ask to see the vitamin content on a bunch of broccoli. They don’t list them under the price, but you know they are full of important ingredients to keep you healthy. J+ is just the F + V without the water. It’s not a vitamin or drug, just food. Does that make sense to you?

7. I only want to buy a one month supply.
I guess you’re wondering
if a one month supply is all you need, or, if you could try it for a month and see if it works. Is that your question?

7. I can understand that you want to see if J+ will work for you. Unlike a drug, that has a mode of action, side effects, and therapeutic results, J+ is just a food. It is a way of life, not a quick fix for what ails you. Would you just eat F & V for one month and quit? Of course not. For that reason, J+ is sold by the box, in a four month supply for $39.50 each. Should I have to break up a box for you to sample it, there is a substantial surcharge. Is that what you want?

8. I have to ask my husband.
I guess you’re wondering if your husband will see the value in Juice Plus, and think this is cost effective.
Is that your question?

8. May I ask you a question? Let’s say your husband agrees it is a good idea to have fruits and vegetables everyday, and he sees the value in J+, will you be ordering J+ for your family? If he does not want to take J+, but you want to take it, will you be good to yourself anyway, and take it for your health? Does your husband object when you go to the grocery store to buy $40 worth of F & V on a monthly basis? Do you think your husband won’t allow you to take this? Why?

9. I don’t want to put it on my credit card.
I guess you’re wondering if there is another way to pay for this. Is that your question?
9. You can automatically pay with a credit card or from your checking account, or make one payment with credit card, check, or cash. The advantage is you save four dollars. On the other hand, you must pay for all four months in advance rather than spreading the payment over a four month period of time. Which fits your budget? A monthly payment of $39.50 from your credit card or checking account, or would you like to pay in full with one payment of $154?

10. I don’t want to be on automatic reorder.
I guess you’re wondering
if you have control to stop your order at anytime without a hassle. Is that your question?

10. You have absolute control over your order. It is very simple to stop your automatic shipment, it just takes one toll-free phone call. The advantage of auto ship is you do not have to remember to reorder at the end of four months. NSA does all the paperwork and shipping for you. A box of J+ arrives at your door just in time. Auto ship was designed for your convenience, because you have so many other important things to remember in life. Wouldn’t you agree?

11. I can get the same thing at the health food store.
I guess you’re wondering
if the product you saw elsewhere is the same thing (or why that product costs less). Is that your question?

11. J+ is not sold in health food stores. J+ is only sold through distributors - people sharing with other people. That’s how we keep the price low. We avoid brick and mortar retail outlets to avoid adding overhead costs to the product. I don’t know which product you saw in the health food store, but I do know that J+ developed a proprietary blend of F, V, and grains. You need to compare the products before you compare the price. Doesn’t that make sense?

12. I want to think about it.
I guess you’re wondering whether this product is for you? Is that your question?

12. I am assuming the reason you want to think about this is because you are considering taking J+, is that right? Why don’t we go over exactly what you will be thinking about while I am here and the facts are fresh in your mind. Most people think about things because they want to make the right decision. What will be the determining factor that will enable you to decide one way or another. Value? Price? Ingredients? Whether you need this? If it works? How to take it? Me?

13. I haven’t heard of this before. Can I get
this in the store?
I guess you’re wondering
why this product isn’t sold in the store, and why you haven’t seen this product advertised. Is that your question?

13. Juice + is not advertised on TV, radio, newspapers, or magazines like other nutritional products. The only way you might hear about J + is through scientific journals, your health practitioner, nutritionist, or through distributors who spread the J+ message. It enables you to save money, because you don’t have to pay an inflated price. Instead of going to a store to buy the product, J+ is conveniently delivered to your door. Isn’t that great?

14. Is this a multilevel marketing scheme?
I guess you’re wondering
how this product is distributed. Is that your question?

14. Multilevel marketing is a cost effective and efficient way to distribute products. NSA has taken the best from network marketing, franchising, and direct sales, and created its own Virtual Franchise.

NSA has been around for 30 years and is a bonafide high-quality company that prides itself in its product integrity, and you receive first quality service from people like me.

15. I’m not a salesperson.
I can’t sell, it’s not
my thing.
I guess you’re wondering how you would make money in this business if you don’t feel comfortable selling.
Is that your question?

15. I know just how you feel. I don’t consider myself a salesperson either. I tried the product myself first and decided that everyone I know should know about J+. I decided to be a representative for the company, because it offsets the cost of my personal use. This is a great part time or full time business. I like to share good news with people. I share the benefits, and the product sells itself. If you liked J+, do you think you would want to share it with your friends and family?
