You think only about yourself and your nervousness, not the other person’s position.
You forget to give a two-part compliment to break the ice.
You forget to find out if they’re married. A must.
You have a poor handshake that exudes low self-esteem.
You forget their name because you weren’t concentrating.
You don’t anchor your own name so they forget it quickly.

You don’t have a business card that creates conversation.
Your card has information on one side, not two sides.
You categorize yourself by your title not your mission in life.
You don’t ask the right questions to see if you can do business together.
You fail to get their card or at least their number.
